Sam

Year End 2022
OK, so this year I’m going to cheat a little bit.
Every year end, I choose the most important, interesting or just plain “I liked it the best” image to reflect back on the year going by. This year, I took the image this week, but it represents something that impacted us throughout the year!
The image is, of course, of Sam – our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Sam joined Norma and me in February in 2022, and he’s been so much fun to have with us. The puppy phase is now going by, he takes to his training nicely, and he’s maturing into a wonderful companion dog for both of us.
Sam’s highlights for his first year were the trip to Florida as a quite young puppy (he loved it and as Norma’s cousin said walking with him in the squares of Savannah was like walking with a movie star as EVERYONE wanted to stop and say hello), playing with grandson Theo and his dog Trixie, walks (especially on the beach or at Deerfield) and generally welcoming anyone who enters our house as a person who MUST acknowledge the dog and make with the patting and gushing. Maybe he should actually be a movie star!
Norma and I look forward to all the fun we’ll have with Sam in the future, including right now – Sam is standing under my desk telling me it’s time for a walk!
Have a safe, peaceful and amazing 2023!
