Daffodils
Norma's flower bed has undergone quite a transformation over the years, as she has chosen to renew it with plants that the deer find less attractive to eat!
Gone are our tulips and hostas, as the resident deer love to munch those two varieties in particular, but I am happy that they seem to not bother the daffodils, because to me the daffodils are a true harbinger of Spring.
The garden is lovely and flowers are so much fun to just sit and gaze at. One of my favourite authors, and fellow former Concord, MA resident perhaps said it best:
“Earth laughs in flowers.”
–Ralph Waldo Emerson
