Seashore Thoughts
We got an early shot of snow here in Yarmouth and Digby Counties this week - and so the Beach Parks look a bit different.
I love going to the shore in the "off-season", to our front yard here next to Port Maitland Beach Provincial Park, or just to the north at Mavillette Beach Provincial Park.
With no cars and very few people, it's only the footprints in the snow that tell me I'm not the first here.
It's such a nice place though to watch the light playing on the waves as they crash ashore, and to see the wind gently blowing the grasses in the dunes.
I'm glad these are Parks - it means they're protected for generations to come to visit.
Places worth preserving, and worth visiting - anytime of year!
