Do Juno the Way...
The JUNOS, Canada's Music Awards, are coming to Halifax! Hosted by legendary singer, songwriter and pop superstar, Nelly Furtado, the biggest names in music will be coming together at Scotiabank Centre Sunday, March 24. A couple of years ago, I shot a cover for an album for Postdata at the request of their JUNO winning lead singer Paul Murphy. It was great fun and very cool to see one of my images used as album artwork.
As a result of the JUNOS coming to Halifax, Tiechert Gallery at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia asked artists if they wished to submit for juried inclusion images with a musical theme or connection, so I submitted two photos, and both were chosen for inclusion. The image this week is a full image of the photograph I took for Postdata’s album cover Twin Flames, which I printed, matted, framed and signed as a limited edition in a 16x20 inch piece that will be on display and for sale at Tiechert.
One neat thing about being a freelance photographer is you never know what assignments or contracts you might get into, but having clients use my images for all kinds of purposes is part of the fun.
